Frequently Asked Questions
What Does Nevada Management Services Do, and Where?
We provide outsourced bookkeeping, payroll coordination, back-office and recordkeeping, and fractional CFO and controller services. We are headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, and serve businesses throughout the United States. Our work is delivered securely and remotely, so location is typically not a barrier. Many clients combine bookkeeping with payroll coordination or back-office support so one team handles everything.
Which Software Do You Work With?
We commonly work in QuickBooks Online and coordinate with payroll platforms such as ADP and Paychex.
How Do You Bill for Your Services?
Fees are typically based on the hourly rate of the person doing the work, as set out in your engagement agreement. When more than one team member takes part in a meeting, each person’s time is billed at their rate. Time is rounded up to the next minute, not to 6-minute or 15-minute blocks, so you pay only for the time actually spent on your work. Work is billed in arrears, after it has been performed, and each invoice typically itemizes the services provided, who performed them, the time spent, and the fees. Payment is typically due on receipt; where we are an authorized signer on your account, the invoiced amount may be withdrawn automatically. Costs we pay on your behalf, such as postage, courier, bank, and filing fees, are typically reimbursed in addition to our fees. Late-payment and expense terms are described in your engagement agreement.
What Are Your Rates?
We work to keep your costs down by matching each task to the right person. Most routine bookkeeping is typically handled by General Staff at $35 per hour; General Staff rates range from $35 to $100 per hour. HR and other specialized work calls for more experience and skill, so it is typically assigned to Lead Staff at $100 to $200 per hour. Fractional CFO work and other complex, high-judgment engagements are typically handled by Scott Gardner, our owner, at $500 per hour; he uses AI and custom software tools to keep his billable time to a minimum. Time is billed by the minute, rounded up to the next minute. Rates are current as of 2026, may change with notice, and are confirmed in your engagement agreement.
